• What type of community is Carlsbad By The Sea?
  Carlsbad By The Sea is a non-profit, continuing care retirement community designed for active seniors age 60 and over. It is fully licensed by the California Department of Social Services and accredited by the national Continuing Care Accreditation Commission.
  
• What does my entrance fee cover?
  The entrance fee covers your continuing care contract at Carlsbad By The Sea. The contract provides for your home and amenities at the community as well as access to health care on site.
  
• How does the repayable option for my entrance fee work?
  A sales associate will be glad to go over in detail all the financial options we provide. Please call us to schedule a visit.
  
• What's included in the monthly service fee?
  Among the services your monthly fee covers include weekly housekeeping, 30 meals per month in the dining room, social and recreational activities, all utilities, indoor and outdoor maintenance and scheduled transportation. We have many more services to tell you about when you come in for a visit.
  
• Do you allow pets?
  Yes. We accept pets, however, the pet must be quiet and well behaved. We will be happy to explain rules regarding pets in more detail when you come in for a visit.
  
• Do I pay for a higher level of care if I need it?
  At Carlsbad By The Sea, a resident pays only for the extra care they need, for 30 minutes to 24 hours. Personal care assistance can be delivered within the privacy of your residence at Carlsbad By The Sea. Skilled nursing care is provided in the Carlsbad By The Sea Care Center. Please call us for additional information.
  
• Do you have a pool?
  Yes, we have an indoor SwimEx pool located in our wellness and spa area and we have a heated outdoor pool.
  
• Do you have ocean-view apartments?
  Yes, we have ocean-view apartments as well as ocean-front apartments.
  
• Do you have guest rooms? Can my family stay with me?
  Yes. We have two guest suites available for your family and friends at a very reasonable rate. Your guests are also welcome to stay with you in your apartment.
  
• Can I decorate my apartment the way I want to?
  You are welcome to decorate in your own style.
